International Summer Camp

For many years the Canadian Association has supported this annual Order of Malta Camp by providing volunteer carers and funding the attendance of young campers with disabilities. This Camp helps young people with disabilities to forge a sense of community, promote cultural exchange and help our guests overcome personal, physical and mental barriers Hundreds of young people with disabilities and volunteers from many countries come together for a once in a lifetime week of fun, friendship and adventure. Different National Associations of the Order take turns hosting the event. They live together, befriend one another and share exceptional experiences resulting in lifelong friendships.

Lourdes Pilgrimage

Every year at the beginning of May, Lourdes receives the Order of Malta’s international pilgrimage, consisting of more than 7,500 participants coming from approximately 50 countries including approximately 1,500 sick and disabled pilgrims cared by some 250 priests and 380 doctors and nurses. For many Canadian malades and chaplains the pilgrimage costs is a financial hardship. Your contributions are essential to make this spiritual journey a reality for them.
